BIOGRAPHY

Harold Clayton was born in London in 1896, and studied at Hackney, Harrow and Hornsey, and later at St. Martins School of Art, under Norman James’ tutorship. He is most well known for his paintings of flowers. He exhibited oil paintings, water colours and wood engravings at the Royal Academy, working in Hampstead and Suffolk.
