Maurice Decamps

Maurice Decamps was born on 2nd October 1892 in Paris. He studied painting under Pierre Montézin. He first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1913, winning an honourable mention and the Savoy Prize in 1926, and a silver medal in 1927. He achieved significant success and recognition during his lifetime and was most feted for his still-life works.
